Chase Sapphire Lounge leaves Priority Pass and LoungeKey on 15 August

What happened

Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club is leaving the Priority Pass and LoungeKey networks on 15 August 2026.

The Points Guy, Forbes Advisor, and Upgraded Points all use that date. Forbes Advisor says a Chase spokesperson confirmed the direction. Some Priority Pass lounge pages now say the location leaves the PP network on 15 August 2026. One example is the PHL lounge page.

People without an eligible Chase card could still use Sapphire Lounge in a limited PP / LoungeKey way. That path closes on 15 August.

Travel media on the old rule (trust the lounge and PP screens from that period)

1. One counted visit a calendar year for Priority Pass members at Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club.
2. After that, extra visits were often about $75, a member rate, not a public walk-up tariff.
3. The cap applied to all PP members, whatever card issued the pass.

Amex Platinum or Venture X PP could get you into a Chase lounge under that network deal. It was interoperability, not Chase advertising those cards as Sapphire Lounge cards.

The door that closes is pass access into Chase lounges. Chase card lounge access and PP at other lounges are separate.

Sapphire Lounge is often run by The Club. The Club and Priority Pass sit in Collinson. A common media and community read is that limited PP visits were a network deal, and Chase is pulling the rooms back toward its own cardholders after the deal expired or was reworked. Contract-expiry talk is inference. Chase copy wins.

Community notes also mention walk-in purchase with no pass and no eligible card, sometimes around $100 a person if there is space. Space is rare and can vanish. Walk-in is not a Priority Pass benefit and is not a plan. Price and whether the desk is open follow that day's lounge and Chase screens.

Peak hours can still throttle and prefer Chase cardholders. PP pages and media have mentioned capacity. Some airports (PHX is one) have their own booking rules. Windows and fees follow Chase Sapphire Lounges and the Chase app. If you hold CSR, Priority Pass Select is mainly for other PP rooms. Do not treat PP as a Sapphire Lounge ticket after this date.

Chase is pulling Sapphire Lounge off Priority Pass / LoungeKey and keeping it closer to its own cardholders.

If you only have Amex Platinum, Venture X, or another PP, stop planning Sapphire Lounge on that pass after 15 August. The one free visit and the $75 extra both go.

If you hold CSR or another eligible Chase card, the card path into the lounge remains. PP for other rooms, per media, is not cancelled by this note.
