Credit Karma's in-app AI can return a TransUnion score, in user tests
User tests in the Credit Karma app show the AI chat can return a TransUnion score plus a short write-up, including in Chinese. The usual screens may not show th
What happened
User tests in Credit Karma say the in-app AI chat will answer questions about a TransUnion (TU) score and add a short analysis.
The path testers described
- Open CK
- Use the AI entry under the spot shown in screenshots
- You can ask in Chinese
- The model returns a score plus analysis
- Testers called it useful
- The regular UI may not show that number
- Some ITIN users treat it as a side door to a TU figure

Limits
- This is a community test with screenshots, not a Credit Karma or TransUnion product sheet
- The notes do not say whether "TU score" is VantageScore or another model, a full file, or anything about soft vs hard inquiry
- Whether the AI is stable, visible on every account and region, or needs a finished login, follows your live app
- A score does not convert into an approval. Banks run their own underwriting and document lists
Carddoger take
CK put a TU-related number into AI chat even when the main screens stay quiet. If you already use Credit Karma and want a TransUnion figure fast, ask the AI first.
CK has not promised free TU forever. Asking the AI will not get a card or a limit increase. It also will not replace a full report or bank paperwork. Whether an ITIN account sees a useful number depends on that account, the products CK will show, and the bureau. One person, one case.
If you try it, find the AI entry and ask about TransUnion / TU score. Trust that chat and the other CK credit pages, then cross-check.
The Credit Karma app, help center, and bureau displays win. This is public user testing, not credit, apply, or legal advice.
