Starryblu multi-currency wallet, virtual and plastic cards, fund and send home
Starryblu (Blue) multi-currency wallet. Invite code MWZK021 (https://sg.starryblu.com/x/6RvV0Swf) for 10+50 SGD coupons and a card-issue whitelist. Passport KYC
What this is
Starryblu (Blue inside the app) is a Singapore multi-currency wallet for cross-border receive and pay, multi-currency balances, and everyday spend. The site and the app talk about multi-currency accounts, cross-border transfers, local pay, and debit cards. It fits people who move money across borders, digital nomads, or anyone who needs an overseas-in, local-spend / send-home path.

This follows the working path.
- Invite perks and register KYC
- Funding (Hong Kong FPS first)
- Withdraw back to China
- QR spend and how it debits
- Mastercard virtual / plastic (including 9.9 / 19.9 membership with free postage)
Fees, limits, and card tiers move. starryblu.com and the live app win. Screenshots below are working app pages.
Before you start
Invite link and invite code (required)
Register on the invite below and enter this code.
MWZK021
Invite.
https://sg.starryblu.com/x/6RvV0Swf
Open the invite, enter MWZK021
What the invite code gives you
With MWZK021 entered correctly you get
- 10 + 50 SGD spend coupons (they offset spend)
- Earlier access to the card-issue whitelist (you reach the card queue sooner)
On plastic.
- Open the $9.9 a month or $19.9 a month membership and plastic postage is free (card production plus mail, no separate card fee)
- Prefer 9.9 or 19.9 if you want plastic. Paying a standalone card fee on the free tier is a worse deal
Product and compliance (public notes)
| Item | Public notes | |------|----------| | What it is | Multi-currency account plus cross-border pay / remittance plus a spend card | | Regulation | Singapore MAS Major Payment Institution (MPI) frame (Security / licence pages win) | | Funds | The site says user funds sit in an OCBC safeguarded account, split from operating cash | | Entity | App Store developer shows Wotransfer PTE. LTD. and related names | | Currencies | Common set includes USD, HKD, SGD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD (the live app list wins) |
Papers
| Item | Notes | |------|------| | Passport | Current KYC usually wants a passport photo plus face check | | Mobile | For OTP. Pick the real country of residence | | Address proof | If residence is China, a domestic address proof is usual. The ID address page can work. A different shipping address is fine when you order plastic | | Funding | A Hong Kong bank account makes FPS the easier rail. No HK account, you may use a wire | | Send home | Alipay withdraw needs Instant Collection turned on first |
Risk lines
- Cross-border pay and remittance sit under AML and the receiving-side rules. Large or odd frequency can trigger review
- FX, funding, withdraw, and card monthly fees all cost money
- Monthly fee, auto-renew, and what happens to the card after cancel follow the app terms
- This is a process note, not account, remittance, or compliance advice
Steps
1. Download the app and register on the invite
- Open the invite. https://sg.starryblu.com/x/6RvV0Swf
- Or search Starryblu in the store (China App Store usually finds it. Android can use Google Play / the official APK)
- Open the app. New users tap register. Existing users tap login

- Set a unique Starryblu ID and a login password

- Enter a mobile and take the OTP (residence country is the real one, for example China)
- Invite-code field.
MWZK021
Turn the referral-code switch on, then enter it. Sample screen below.

- Check the terms, then confirm. Confirm you have the 10+50 SGD coupons and whitelist priority before you go on.
2. Finish KYC
- ID. Sharp photo of the passport bio page
- Read the in-app sample first. Full frame, sharp photo, no glare

- Face check. Follow the prompts

- Job and income. Most people pick salary / wages and tell the truth

- Address proof. If you picked China, upload a domestic address paper (the front of the national ID address page can work). Shipping address for plastic can be different

- Machine review often takes a few minutes. Fails are usually glare or blur. Change the light and reshoot
3. Fund. Same-name Hong Kong FPS first
After a pass you land on Home. Balance, coupons, and the top-up entry sit there.

Hong Kong dollar, FPS.
- Blue app, Top up / Fund, region Hong Kong, currency HKD, method FPS

- Copy the FPS ID, payee details, and the unique memo the system gives you

- Open the Hong Kong bank app, transfer, enter the FPS ID
- The memo field must get the unique memo. Payee is often a corridor omnibus account. The memo is how they post it to you
- Confirm the send. Arrival and fees follow both apps

Singapore PayNow and some local rails also exist. Whether they are free follows the live fee table.
If you only have a mainland bank, a wire costs more
- Swift (or similar) to the Singapore payee the app shows
- Cost can include a domestic cable / intermediary fee plus a platform credit fee. Small wires are a poor deal
- If you must wire, one larger send spreads the fixed cost
4. Send home (withdraw)
- Home, Withdraw
- Pick a currency (for example HKD)
- Destination country China
- Prefer Alipay. Turn on Instant Collection in Alipay first, then enter the bound mobile and the amount

- Read Instant Collection caps (per transaction / annual / monthly count. Wage, family support, and shopping-income categories differ. Bank card and Alipay may share a cap. The app page wins)

- Free allowance, whether a fee applies, and FX slip follow that quote page
5. Everyday QR and spend
- You scan. Pay, Scan. In China you can scan a merchant WeChat collection code. Some countries have a local scan list (the app list wins)
- They scan you. Payments, show a code. NFC follows the phone and the card settings
- Debit logic. Some RMB spend is first priced in SGD. If you hold SGD it debits SGD first, otherwise it converts another currency and then debits. Keep a little SGD so you do not convert twice
- Spend the invite 10+50 SGD coupons first
6. Mastercard virtual / plastic
The app issues a Singapore-side Mastercard debit (virtual plus plastic). Online subscriptions and WeChat / Alipay bind can work. Whether the bind sticks is the other side’s risk desk.
| Path | Notes | |------|------| | Free-tier virtual | You can open this first and get a number for online use right away | | Prefer $9.9 or $19.9 a month membership | Open it and plastic postage is free (production plus China mail, no separate card fee) | | Pay a standalone card fee on the free plastic tier | A worse deal. Use 9.9 / 19.9 |

Working order.
- After the invite has you on the card whitelist, open a card application
- Pick $9.9 a month or $19.9 a month (budget and perks)

- Enter a real China shipping address and wait for the plastic
- Manage virtual cards in the card list (full PAN only inside the app. Mask it if you share a screen)

- Read auto-renew and whether the card still works after you cancel, before you open it
Higher tiers often let you pick a vanity number. The app wins.
