What this covers

Royal Server is a Romanian hosting provider that runs its own data center in Tulcea under AS213323, mainly selling VPS, dedicated servers, game servers and DDoS protection. In early November 2026 it added a Web Free plan to its web hosting page: 0.00 EUR/month with 1GB NVMe storage, 1 website, cPanel and free SSL.

This guide explains what the free plan includes, how to sign up, and the condition that keeps it free. It suits personal blogs, portfolios, landing pages or practice sites where you don't want to manage a VPS.

Before you start

  • It may be out of stock: when Carddoger checked the Web Free order page in the official client area on 7 November 2026, it showed "Out of Stock" (orders suspended). The plan is still listed on the main site; availability depends on when you try.
  • You need your own domain: the plan is set up per domain, and the provider said in its official post that subdomains are not accepted.
  • Your domain must keep Royal Server's nameservers: this is the condition for free hosting. The provider's official post says its system monitors nameservers automatically and suspends the free account if you move them, including to Cloudflare.
  • "Free for life" is conditional: no hosting fees as long as you meet the nameserver rule and terms of use. It is not a promise that the service will exist forever.
  • Account limits are unclear: the official post says up to 5 free hosting accounts per customer, but a later reply in the same thread talks about addon domains on one account. Open a ticket to confirm before setting up several.
  • Limited resources: 1GB must fit code, databases, cache and uploads. A forum user posted LVE limits of about 1 vCPU, 1GB RAM and 1MB/s I/O (not published officially, for reference only).
  • Early instability: after launch the client area royaldata.ro was unreachable at times and sites had short outages; the provider said it was tuning Layer 7 protection.
  • Follow the terms: this is cPanel shared hosting, not a VPS. The official terms target spam, phishing and other abuse, so don't run proxies or bulk email.

Steps

1. Open the Web Hosting page

Go to the Royal Server web hosting page (switch RO / EN at the top), find FREE WEB HOSTING · Web Free at 0.00 EUR / month, and click "Activate for Free".

2. Enter your domain in the client area

The button opens the order page in the royaldata.ro client area. Enter a domain you already own (choose the option to use your own domain). If you see Out of Stock, orders are paused and you'll need to try later.

3. Register and check out at 0 EUR

Create a client account with accurate details and check out. The free plan costs 0, and the provider said no coupon code is needed.

4. Find the nameservers in the welcome email

After activation, check your email for cPanel login details and the official nameserver (NS) addresses. Keep the login details safe.

5. Change the NS at your registrar

In your domain registrar, set the domain's nameservers to the ones in the email. Don't switch back to Cloudflare or another DNS provider later, or the account will be suspended automatically. Propagation usually takes from a few minutes up to 48 hours.

6. Log in to cPanel and build the site

Once DNS resolves, log in to cPanel and upload a static site or use the panel's app installer. SSL is issued automatically, after which the site serves over HTTPS.

7. Set up off-site backups

Don't keep your only copy on a free service. On WordPress, a backup plugin such as UpdraftPlus can send files and the database to cloud storage or email on a schedule; for static sites, keep the source files locally.

Carddoger summary

Royal Server's Web Free is a low-barrier free cPanel host: 0 EUR/month, 1GB NVMe, free SSL and no card required, from a provider with its own data center and AS number. It's more credible than anonymous resellers and fits personal blogs, portfolios and practice sites.

Keep three things in mind: the domain must stay on its nameservers or the account is suspended automatically; the free plan may be out of stock and was unstable at launch; resource and account limits are whatever the provider finally confirms. Don't rely on free hosting alone for an important site, and keep backups.
